When the Cinnamon Restaurant opened its doors in Sunningdale Drive, Eaglescliffe back in April 2005, its owners, Shuhel and Shany Ahmed were embarking on a clear mission.

“We wanted to introduce the people living in and around the Yarm area to a really different kind of dining experience,” said Shuhel. “We wanted our customers to enjoy the vast array of spices that make Asian cuisine so very different towelcome to Cinnamon Restaurant any other. Not just the fiery ones that so many Indian restaurants overuse, but spices that can really enhance the flavour and enjoyment of each dish.”

Cinnamon Chef Bahar Miah, who has gained an impressive reputation through his cooking in leading restaurants in London and the North East, shares this passion to create memorable meals. “I’ve created a menu at Cinnamon that explores the variety and subtlety of Bangladeshi and North Indian cuisine,” said Bahar.

“Of course, we offer traditional curries, like Korma, Bhuna and Madras, but what sets us apart are dishes like Katta and Zeera, where fresh tamarind and black cumin are used to produce distinctively different dishes,” added Bahar.

Cinnamon is open from 6pm until 11pm 7 days a week. It also offers a full-menu take-home service, including free delivery to homes in Yarm, Eaglescliffe and Ingleby Barwick on orders over £10.
